How many actors are in a show?   [top]
 
This varies from show to show, but generally there can be as little as two actors up to seven or eight.
 
I have never been to a dinner theatre what should I expect?   [top]
 
The Dinner Theatre format is extremely popular in the United States and the UK. It is not the traditional "Theatre Restaurant" that many in Australia are familiar with. At the StageDoor Dinner Theatre we present a scrumptious 3 course meal and stage a fully scripted play or musical. On most occasions there is no audience interaction.
 
Is there a bar available?   [top]
 
Yes! The StageDoor Dinner Theatre is licensed as an on premises meals venue. Patrons must consume a meal in order to purchase alcohol. Our Bar stocks a range of heavy, mid and light beers, premium beers, basic spirits, a selection of house white and red wines, sparkling whites and soft drinks.
 
 
What is included in the evening performance ticket price?   [top]
 
All ticket prices include a 3 course dinner, show and GST and Booking Fees. Dinner includes a choice of 3 entrees, 4 main dishes and 3 dessert dishes. Also included is a bread roll & butter, and coffee, tea or milk. Alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are not included.
 
How many people can attend dinner show performances each night?    [top]
 
We are an intimate venue that seats a capacity of 85 persons. Patrons are seated at tables of 6 to 8 and all have good views of the stage area.
 
What time do your productions finish?   [top]
 
Generally shows at the StageDoor Dinner Theatre finish between 10pm and 10:30pm, however this does vary on the individual production. Our Box Offfice Staff will be able to provide a more accurate time when booking. The StageDoor Dinner Theatre is officially licensed to 12 midnight, so patrons are invited to stay for dancing following the show if they desire.
 
When should I arrive?   [top]
 
It is recommended that you arrive no later than 6.30 pm.
 
Is parking available?   [top]
 
On street parking is available in Cintra Road itself, or in surrounding streets.
 
How do I get to the StageDoor Dinner Theatre?   [top]
 
The StageDoor Dinner Theatre is located at the Twelfth Night Complex, 4 Cintra Road, Bowen Hills.

Smart/casual dress is preferred by our guests.
 
Can you help organise special celebrations?   [top]
 
Please phone the Box Office on (07) 3216 1115 to request special arrangements for your celebration. Our staff will be happy to announce your occasion from the stage and it is also possible to pre-order champagne and birthday cakes!
 
Are discounts available for seniors and children?   [top]
 
Yes. Discounts are generally available for children under 16, full time Uni students, and seniors over 60. However, some tickets such as those for the matinee performances are already offered at discounted prices, so please check with our Box Office staff when booking.
 
Are their any age restrictions?   [top]
 
Generally children above the age of five are welcome at the StageDoor Dinner Theatre. However, accepted ages can vary depending on the show being presented, so please check with our Box Office staff when booking.
 
Is it possible to place reservations in advance?   [top]
 
Yes. Any parties of 14 and under can place ticket reservations up to 16 weeks ahead of time. Any parties consisting of more than 14 people can place ticket reservations for any advance performance date.
 
Can I audition?   [top]
 
Yes! Auditions for the StageDoor Dinner Theatre are held several months prior to each show opening. Audition notices are posted locally in the Quest Newspapers, through our email club, or Audition. You may also send a picture and resume at any time to:
